Gravity & Levity’s touring company comprises some of the UK’s finest specialist teachers and offers a broad, accessible and ambitious programme of participatory work. Workshops can be based around specific dance and aerial techniques, be creative or equipment based and can form a one-off event or work towards an ongoing project.

All classes, at whatever level, aim to challenge, stimulate and facilitate an exhilarating experience for all involved. Participants will not only deepen their understanding of aerial dance practice but also gain a greater insight into the staging and making of devised work where different elements are at play - movement ideas together with the constraints and freedom offered by the rigging, aerial equipment and set design. The workshops develop bodily control and focus on spatial awareness. As participants’ vocabulary is extended through the class(es) it is possible to incorporate partnering work, improvisation, ensemble and choreographic skills.
