has been design led from the outset to create an environment where several
structures and artistic voices can comfortably exist and liberate exciting
cross art form collaboration.
Working with the performers skills as experienced and accomplished dancers,
utilising harness and flying techniques this production challenges the collaborators
to fully explore the movement possibilities created in suspending bodies –
‘the freedom of restraint’.
The relationship and engagement between the performance space, performers,
audience and architecture of the venue is central to the companies concerns.
Gravity & Levity encourages its audiences to question how and where they
view the work, experience shifts in perspective and orientation and affords
them to gain a sense of the terrain the performers traverse, inherently questioning
their own perceptions of space and form.
