‘Etre et Durer’ (a translation of ‘to be and to last’ borrowed from parkour which sounds so much better), was born of a desire to create a peer to peer support network for female aerial leaders and artistic directors. Jennifer Paterson, All or Nothing Aerial Dance Theatre (Scotland), Chantal McCormick, Fidget Feet (Ireland) and Lindsey […]Read More
We are thrilled to have been awarded funding by British Council’s International Collaboration Grants for ‘Creating Connections’ working with Wanda Moretti and Kate Lawrence. ‘Creating Connections’ draws on the participatory spirit and inventiveness of the experimental dance work undertaken in 1970’s New York that laid the foundations for the development of vertical dance practice. Building on […]Read More
2022 saw us deliver the Dissecting Aerial symposium as a hybrid event, reaching 6x more audiences from all over the globe via the magic of video conferencing and connecting to remote speakers for the first time. It was really exciting (if nerve wracking) to have so many new folks in the room, so much so […]Read More
We’re gearing up to tour ‘Why?’ again this year. The rehearsal space is booked, we’re doing checks on all of the kit, checking we can still fit into the costumes haha …! And just to say thanks again to all the wonderful audiences who came out to see us last year, we really loved chatting with you after the shows and to the festival directors and teams who pulled out all the stops to ensure that shows went ahead this year, to the funders and supporting organisations and a personal thanks from me (Lindsey) to the wonderful, hard working, G&L team of collaborators, movers and shakers. Looking forward to doing it all again soon!!!Read More

In this strange old year that was 2020, we were immensely grateful to be able to spend 10 days in Whirligig Woods with a phenomenal creative team to research our new show, ‘A Heightened Sense of Tree’.
This R&D has been a long time in the planning even prior to Covid. It’s been in discussion with the National Trust for over 2 years and in conversation between it’s main collaborators since Lindsey returned from working with Julia Taffe (Aeriosa) in Vancouver 2015.Read More

Sadly and yet almost inevitably given the year 2020 was, we’re postponing the next EADF until Aug 2022. Given the ongoing uncertainty about gathering in numbers, coupled with the fact that our partners South East Dance and Brighton Dome/Festival also had to stop work on creating their wonderful new buildings it’s simply not viable to run the festival in 2021. Sad face… but read on …..Read More

Thanks so much to …
